Bombers Deal Waked To BC

The Flin Flon Bombers have traded veteran 20 year old goaltender Gabriel Waked to the Trail Smoke Eaters of the BCHL for 18 year old forward Bryce Anderson and a PDF.

Waked appeared in 14 regular season games for the Bombers putting up a GAA of 3.36 and a SVS % of .894. He was extremely sharp in the 7 game playoff series with Battleford with very decent numbers including a .922 SVS.

Bryce Anderson who is from Whitehorse Yukon put up 14 points in 49 games as a rookie in the BCHL last season.

Head Coach and GM of the Bombers, Mike Reagan talks about why he made the trade. " We are dealing with a position of strength with two veteran goalies returning. We feel both Gabby and Jacob Delorme are both capable of being starters and deserve to be starters. We are very confident in Jacob's ability to be our number one. I had a good conversation with Gabby,  and he felt getting a fresh start some where else where he was going to be the true number one was something he wanted as a challenge. We lost a lot of fire power up front and thought this would be an opportunity to bring some skill in up front."

The Bombers wish Gabriel the best of luck out in BC and welcome Bryce to the organization as they prepare for training camp , which is just a little more than a month away.
