The Flin Flon Bombers held their annual AGM last night at the Northern room at the Victoria Inn. Head Coach and GM Mike Reagan gave his coach's report and said there are lots of things to be excited about.
Reagan mentioned they had a very successful spring camp in Saskatoon with well over 100 kids attending. Reagan also just got back from a scouting trip in Quebec and Colorado and have verbal commitments from 9 kids who they hope to sign to cards June the 1st.
The trade with the Melville Millionaires for Eric Sinclair will be completed by the end of June with the Bombers able to protect two players from the current roster. Melville will get to pick two players left unprotected and will also receive a first round pick from this year's Bantam draft.
Brandon Lesko has decided to not return for his 20 year old season and has decided to go to the U of S starting this fall. Bomber trainor Tanner Arnold has also accepted a position with the Moose Jaw Warriors of the WHL and the Bombers will be looking for a replacement a.s.a.p.
Flin Flon expect to have between 13 and 14 new players in thie lineup when they start the season in September.
Hank Kozar who has been with the organization for the past 15 years will be stepping down as President and thanked all the board members, fans, billets, corporate sponsors and coach's for all their contributions the past sevearl years.
Kozar mentioned that the Bombers have the highest corporate sponsorship in the league and they are the lifeblood of the club.
Dave Brooks has also stepped down as Treasurer and has been replaced by Bunny Burke. The club is in good financial shape and have officially paid off their bus and outstanding loan to Greenstone.
Tanya Benoit is the new President for a two year term and Noelle and Randi Lindsay are directors for two year terms.
Directors for one year terms include: Lisa Tower, Damian Dominey, Danny Haley and Glenn Rideout.
