Bombers Are Getting Ready For Season

Mike Reagan the Head Coach and General Manager of the Flin Flon Bombers was yesterday's guest on the Norman Sportsline Program.

Mike was in to discuss the latest trades, main camp coming up this weekend and the excitement of the new season with exhibition games starting next weekend.

You can hear that interview here:

Bombers Move Desautels

Fresh after Friday's announcement that the Flin Flon Bombers had picked up Justin Rasmussen and Mackenzie Braid from the Sumerside Capitals, the Bombers have moved 19 year old goaltender Andy Desautels.

The Bombers are deep in goal with 20 year old goaltender Devin Buffalo returning and a good cast of rookies coming in to compete for the backup job this weekend.

The Bombers are sending Desautels to West Kelowna of the BCHL for future considerations and a player to be named later.

Mike Reagan feels that Desautels has earned the right to be a starter, and would not get that oppurtunity this season with Buffalo coming back for his 20 year old season.

The Bombers are preparing for main camp which starts Friday with registration at noon and the first ice session at 1:30. 60 kids are expected in camp.

The Maroon and White game is this Sunday at 4:00. The Bombers first pre-season game is Monday in Nipawin - the first home pre-season game is this Tuesday September 3rd against the MJHL'S Swan Valley Stampeders at 7:30.
