The RCMP Will Be Watching Your Driving Habits Over The Long Weekend

Manitoba RCMP will be hitting the streets to target high risk driving behaviors during Canada Road Safety Week that runs through the long weekend.  They will be targeting the big four issues on Manitoba roadways which are impaired driving, seatbelt use, distracted driving and speed.

They note choosing to drink before getting behind the wheel impairs judgment, seatbelts are proven to save lives, choosing to focus on the road instead of your phone or the radio helps drivers avoid hazards and stay on the road and choosing to speed means increasing the chance of a collision.

Canada Road Safety Week is one of the tools police use to help educate drivers about making safe and smart decisions on the road.
