The top mine rescue team at Hudbay in Flin Flon has been chosen following a competition involving seven teams. Mine Safety’s Olaf Hettrick says the team includes Trevor Thurstan a senior line planner at Triple Seven Mine, Marshal Manns from Logistics, Annette Last also from Triple Seven Mine and the first woman to represent them in the provincial competition, Mike Desjarlais, Travis Pfoh also from Triple Seven and the Director of Operations is Steve Polegato from Reed Mine.
Hettrick says the team will take part in the provincial competition at the Birch Tree Mine in Thompson May 23rd and 24th. Other teams competing include the host team Vale from Thompson, Hudbay from Snow Lake, Tanco from Lac du Bonnet and San Gold from Bissett
