Working As A Team Will Help The Community and The North

Flin Flon MLA Clarence Pettersen praised the Flin Flon and District Chamber of Commerce and Mayor and Council last night for the great job they do in partnering with him in lobbying and getting things for the community.  He says he’d like to see the cottage fee issue settled noting a policy should have been set up 40 years ago before a lot of people made the move.  He added we need all users on side including surrounding communities to keep our recreation facilities operating.  He told them one thing he’s heard is to create a corporation and in that corporation you’d throw in the rink, the Sportex and the pool and then everybody that uses those facilities would pay proportionately, it would be by population or whatever they would negotiate.  He says that way the recreation facilities would be maybe more feasible.

Pettersen says we need to work together to look at more opportunities in the community and ways to move forward in a positive way to make Flin Flon and the north a more attractive place to live.
