Tourism North held their annual meeting in Flin Flon yesterday afternoon.  Their Coordinator Charlene Kissick says Tourism North is a regional tourism association and their area is north of 53 in Manitoba.  She says right now their members are Community Futures in Flin Flon, Thompson Unlimited and the Town of The Pas and they work together to do some regional marketing, visitor information services and they have a website www.visitnorthernmanitoba.ca that they’re building as a data base for tourism in northern Manitoba.

Kissick says the annual meeting is a chance to review the past year, look at future plans and hear from people who are involved in tourism in the north.  She adds they produce an annual tourist guide and have been focusing on winter tourism for the past two years.
