As a result of an ongoing investigation involving Thompson RCMP General Investigative Services (GIS) and Manitoba RCMP North District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team (CREST), Controlled Drugs and Substance Act warrants were executed at three separate residences in Thompson.
On September 17th, GIS and CREST officers executed warrants at Deerwood Crescent, Pipe Road, and Sandpiper Drive. They were assisted by Thompson RCMP Crime Suppression Unit and The Pas RCMP Police Dog Services.
Inside the homes, officers located and seized:
- A large quantity of suspected cocaine
- Over $9,000 in Canadian currency
Alexis Halvorsen, 37, was arrested without incident Inside the residence on Sandpiper Drive.
She was remanded and was charged with multiple offenses including possession for the purpose of trafficking
Thompson RCMP GIS and CREST continue to investigate.
