Art Unexpected Give Away This Weekend

Art Unexpected was a project that was started up to bring comfort and connections to families who lost their home in last year’s devastating wildfires.

This is in support of families in Flin Flon, Creighton and Denare Beach, where artists and donors would contribute original artwork, prints or generational art to people who lost their homes.

Sissel Bray stopped by the CFAR studio on Friday to discuss how the donations went and how the art will be distributed. " So how this is going to work is over the next week or so,  we are going to unbundle all the Art and make sure it is ready for display. Then on Friday September the 18th from 4 to 8pm at the Flin Flon Community Hall,  it will be open to the public to come view the Art. There will also be Artwork that is going to be put up through a Penny Parade that is open to the public. There will also be a raffle which is a large piece of Original  Art that is open to the public as well."

Then on Saturday the 19th,  they will open up at 1pm to the public where you  will be able to come in and buy Penny Parade tickets and raffle tickets. The registered individuals who experienced loss will be eligible for door prizes. The draw will begin for the artwork that is being distributed  at 2pm and the draws will be random.

It all takes place at the Flin Flon Community Hall and a big thanks to everyone who donated art from all over the Country and beyond, it is much appreciated.
