The Northern Manitoba Sector Council are launching a Lift To Work training program in Flin Flon Starting in September.
Alison Akert provides the details. " So it is about a 7 week program here in Flin Flon and it covers administration and clerical skills. It is an entry level program but it does get you prepared to go into an office environment. So that is going to take you about 7 weeks in classroom time Monday to Friday. That is followed by two to three week job placement in various offices around Flin Flon."
Included in this program will be life skills, office etiquette, different computer programs like Excel, Word and Microsoft Office, plus lots of hands on training in an office environment.
