Saskatchewan RCMP Charge Three After Investigation Into Robberies

Three people have been arrested after robberies in the Little Red River and La Ronge areas.

 

On August 2nd  Prince Albert RCMP received a report that two people with firearms threatened an individual, assaulted them and stole their SUV and personal items at a residence in the community of Little Red River. The suspects fled in the stolen SUV.

 

The victim was transported to hospital by EMS with injuries described as non-life threatening in nature.

 

Prince Albert RCMP continued to investigate the whereabouts of the stolen SUV and suspects.

 

The following day, La Ronge RCMP received a report that three people with firearms threatened two individuals, assaulted them and stole their truck on Highway #2, south of La Ronge. The suspects were driving a vehicle matching the stolen SUV’s description, before stealing the truck and abandoning the SUV at the scene.

Officers set up a tire deflation device in the community of Little Red River, which the stolen truck ran over. Shortly after, the stolen truck came to a stop. Two females were arrested in the truck. A male exited the truck and fled on foot before being arrested.

 

As a result of continued investigation, 26-year-old Brandon Corrigal from Sturgeon Lake First Nation is charged with multiple offenses including  two counts of operating a vehicle while prohibited.

 

22-year-old Acotia Bradfield from La Ronge is charged with multiple offenses including three counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.00.

 

27-year-old Kara Halkett from Little Red River is charged with multiple offenses including three counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.00.
