On August 3rd, Thompson Rural RCMP received a report of a missing male in Kelsey, Manitoba, who went missing earlier in the day
Upon arrival, officers were informed that James Redmond, 60, from Alberta, was known to go fishing from the shore of the Nelson River.
Officers searched along the shoreline near his cabin, and gear belonging to James was located approximately 200 metres upstream from the dam at Kelsey Generating Station. Police believe this may be where he entered into the Nelson River.
RCMP drones and a private diving company are on scene to assist with the ongoing search.
Thompson Rural RCMP continues to investigate.
