The Village of Denare Beach has announced their By-Election Day for Mayor which has been set for September the 2nd.
A new Mayor needs to be elected to fill the vacancy of long time Mayor Carl Lentowicz who passed away in February. Carl had been the Mayor in Denare Beach since 1997.
Nomination Day is tomorrow Wednesday July 29th.
The criteria to run is being at least 18 years of age on the day of the election, is a Canadian Citizen at the time of the election, has lived in Saskatchewan for at least 6 months immediately preceding the date which he/she submitted the nomination paper. The person seeking nomination will also have to of lived in the Municipality for at least 3 consecutive months, immediately preceding the date on which he/she has submitted their nomination paper.
The Nomination Packages are available for pick up at the Denare Beach Village Ofice for anyone wishing to run for Mayor.
