UCN is proud to celebrate the successful completion of the 9th cohort of the Mining Readiness Program, delivered in partnership with Hudbay and the Northern Manitoba Sector Council.

Nine students from Opaskwayak Cree Nation, Moose Lake, and the Coromont area have completed the program and have been offered full-time employment opportunities with Hudbay in Snow Lake.

Through hands-on training, industry partnerships, and pathways to employment, programs like Mining Readiness help create opportunities for people in Northern Manitoba  to build careers and continue contributing to their own communities.
