The Northern Gateway Museum has opened up for the summer in Denare Beach Wednesday through Sunday 11am to 7pm.
Les Oystrik invites you to come check out the rich artifacts of Denare Beach’s past. " We have a huge pride in the Indigenous articles and Indigenous history of the area, it is represented very well. We also have a very big substantial exhibit area pertaining to the early fur trade history on Amisk or Beaver Lake as we know it. We have articles that go all the way back to 1775 and I think people would find that interesting. We also have an extensive collection of artifacts and items pertaining to the 1967 Voyageur Canoe Race."
There is also an extensive contemporary community collection of the early Denare Beach days.
They are located at 1000 Moody Drive and are available for private tours, by calling Les at 306-688-0810 or Karen at 306-688- 0324.
