This morning, at 12:20 am, The Pas RCMP responded to a report of a stabbing at a residence located on Spruce Street .

Officers arrived on scene and located the victim, a 27-year-old male from The Pas, with a serious but non-life-threatening injury. He was transported to hospital in stable condition and will be flown to Winnipeg for further treatment.

The suspect had fled the scene in a vehicle which was observed driving away by officers and immediately pulled over a short distance away.

A 30-year-old male, from The Pas, was arrested without incident and taken back to the Detachment where he will be remanded into custody on a number of charges including Aggravated assault, Assault with a weapon and Operating a vehicle while prohibited.
