On June 28th, Cross Lake RCMP received a report of an unresponsive female in the water, near Beardy’s Point, in Pimicikamak Cree Nation.

Officers attended and located a 22-year-old female who was pulled from the water and pronounced deceased on scene.

Although her death is considered suspicious, the RCMP are  waiting for the results of the autopsy from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
