Creighton Is Getting Ready To Celebrate The Nation's Birthday On Wednesday

Wednesday  is the nation’s 159th birthday and you can celebrate in Creighton and Denare Beach with a lot of fun activities for people of all ages.

 

It all begins with the Canada Day Parade starting at  11am on Green street right beside CFAR.

 

Then it is off to Creighton for lots of activities starting at 1pm. Creighton Rec Director Lindsay Shirran fills us in on what is happening. " We have switched it up this year as we will be at the Oval Of Dreams or Creighton Soccer Field. We have a few  fun things going on ,  we have the Flag Raising Ceremony, we will sing Oh Canada sunf by the Children's Community Choir. We have lots of great local  young entertainment including Modern Rock performing and the Silver Evening Star Singers and Traditional Dancers from the Friendship Centre. The Show and Shine Classic Cars will be at the Sportex parking lot and free cupcakes while supplies last."

 

Activities in Denare Beach for Beaver Lake Day will be starting at 4pm with a barbecue, free cup cakes, kids games, adult canoe race and fireworks starting at 11:45 pm at the Main Beach.
