Come Celebrate The Nation's Birthday In Cranberry

We are just one week away from celebrating our nation’s 159th birthday and Cranberry Portage have a lot of events planned to celebrate with you and your family.

Barb Bragg tells us it is going to be a pretty exciting day. " It starts with a Pancake Breakfast at the Elementary School Gym from 9 til 10am and everyone is welcome. It is the Fire Department that puts that on, so we like to go and support our fire fighters. 10 to 11 it is Bike Decorating, so anyone who wants to be in the parade can bring their bike and decorate it. From 11 to 1 will be the Parade To The Park and we will sing Oh Canada, the flag raising and there is Cake and Ice Cream from the local MMF. We wrap up the afternoon with games for kids."

Then at dusk there will be fireworks at the park also courtesy of the Cranberry  Fire Department. The Museum will also be open from noon to 6pm and feel free to stop by and check out the new artifacts that have arrived.
