Northern Neighbors Foundation Hand Out Grants

The Northern Neighbors Foundation handed out their annual grants to different groups and organizations in Northern Manitoba and Saskatchewan,  Monday night at Council Chambers at Flin Flon City Hall.

 

A total of $188,872.10 was  distributed to the communities of Flin Flon, Creighton, Denare Beach, Cranberry Portage and Snow Lake.

 

The bigger grants went to the Snow Lake Snow Drifters for $20,862.00 to purchase a Hall Projector, The City of Flin Flon $20,000.00 for the Aqua Centre, Northern Gateway Museum  $15,000.00 for a cabinet upgrade, Norman Community Services $14,540.00 for backyard restoration and the Wahkohtowin Trails Committee $12,776.00 for the purchase of trail equipment.

 

Other organizations that received grant money included the Town of Snow Lake, Village of Denare Beach, Granny Willow, Cranberry Heritage Museum, Town of Creighton, Creighton School, Creighton Community Hall, Legion Senior Housing, McIsaac School, Friendship Centre, Rotary Housing and Northern Lights Manor.
