Residents and visitors will get a chance to view a rich part of Flin Flon’s history with the opening of the Station Museum at the Flin Flon Tourist Bureau Camp Ground, kicking off their season very soon.
Chair person Joe Bouie mentions the different items and artifacts they have on display. " A section that is just dedicated to Hudbay, we have a lot of history in there. There is a fabululous display of different artifacts that they have from over the years. We have interesting stuff from when the first Pioneers were here in town, ranging from old kitchen stuff to old businesses that no longer exist. It was an old train station so we have some pictures and memoribillia from that to."
The Museum will officially open on Saturday June the 27th and will remain open for 7 days a week between 10am and 6pm right up until Labour Day.
One thing the Museum is working on for their opening is collecting some items from the Flin Flon Bombers to coincide with their 100th anniversary.
