The Trans Canada Trail Association will be holding their first ever summit in Winnipeg June the 18th and 19th.
There are going to be lots of people and groups represented from all over the world including Northern Manitoba with representatives from The Pas, Cranberry and Flin Flon.
Leslie Beck will be representing the Wahkohtowin Trails Committee for Flin Flon, Creighton and Denare Beach and will actually get the opportunity to speak and share details on the progress of trails in our area.
Beck says she is honored for the opportunity. " Actually I am just starting to get my stuff together and I didn't realize that my profile came up on their website. I have been contacted by Trails Magazine and the Winnipeg Free Press because they are excited about the topic of adverse events affecting trails. I will be speaking about our trails and how they were affected by last year's and the year before's fire event."
Travel Manitoba will be providing the funds for Leslie and others to attend the Summit. You can find out more about what is happening with the Wahkohtowin Trails committee by checking out their instagram page and attending their next meeting coming up early in June. Details will be released on location and time soon.
