Cranberry Portage is preparing for an exciting summer and will be opening up their museum, hosting an AGM as well as holding a special celebration for Mary –Ann Playford at the museum grounds tomorrow night.
Barb Bragg is excited about their first big event to kick off the summer season. " So it is starting at 6:30, so we can have an open house, so people can come in and go through the museum. It might be their first time, it may be their first time since they were 12 years old. We have some very cool stuff going on including interactive virtual story pods and lots of different things you may be interested in. At 7pm we will break for the AGM and we promise it won't be any longer than 30 minutes. Then at 7:30pm we are bringing everyone back to celebrate Mary Ann Playford who has been a volunteer with the museum for over 50 years. She was instrumental in creating the museum which officially opened in 2004, but she was doing work long before that."
Refreshments will be served and is open to anyone who would like to come out and enjoy the evening and officially kick off summer in Cranberry Portage.
The museum will be open for the rest of the summer from Wednesday to Sunday between 12 and 6pm. You can stay in touch with their facebook page and by sending an e-mail to cphmuseum@gmail.com.
