The Town of Creighton hosted a community appreciation barbecue on behalf of the members of the Creighton Volunteer Fire Department last Thursday.

The event took place at the Creighton Sportex and was held in appreciation for the Creighton Fire Department and all the firefighters for their heroic efforts during last summer’s wildfires.

Creighton Mayor Bruce Fiddler presented all 30 members of the fire department with a special plaque and Creighton Fire Chief Dwayne Wenger accepted a picture on behalf of Mayor and Council.

There was a great turn out and the Town of Creighton would like to thank the CO-OP for donating the food and the Flin Flon Rotary Club for coming out and cooking the food.
