Last Wednesday, Saskatchewan RCMP officers located human remains during a planned search near Pelican Narrows. An autopsy took place on Friday and the deceased was identified as 16-year-old Jay’siiah Webb-Long, a missing person from Brampton, ON.

His family has been notified, Webb-Long’s was last in contact with family on May 16, 2025. He had been living in Pelican Narrows around the time of his disappearance. Saskatchewan RCMP’s Homicide Investigation Unit took over the investigation in July 2025 and deemed his disappearance suspicious.

Investigators believe Webb Long’s death is a homicide. The investigation continues.
