The Flin Flon and District Chamber of Commerce will be holding a presentation called “Chamber Forward” that will include feature guest Chuck Davidson who is president and CEO of the Manitoba Chamber of Commerce. Local Chamber President Becky Cianflone discusses the reasoning for the event.
“One of the things that’s come to light, is that there’s not a good understanding of what a Chamber of Commerce does, and how important it is for a community. So, one of the things we want to do is we want to sort of have some discussions for areas of importance for our community and business development here. And to help people understand how the Chamber is a really important tool, method, resource in helping achieve a lot of those things.”
The issues that will be discussed include what are our areas economic drivers, what does advocacy look like, seeing how business ready our community is and how is business connected to local government. It’ll take place at City Hall on Thursday, May 28th from 6:30-8:30pm. Attendance is free.
