Quinton Blair Cabaret

The Flin Flon Arts Council is in the midst of a busy spring and will continue to bring in featured artists to our community. Focusing on home grown talent over the past month with the Children’s Choir musical , the Ham Sandwich Play and the Community Choir’s Anniversary Concert-  The Arts Council welcomes an  out of town performer of renown. Director Crystal Woodward lets us know who is coming to town.

“Quinton Blair, he’s pretty excited, we’re actually the first one of his next tours. We’re pretty excited to have him, he’ll be doing a Spring Cabaret, so there will be round tables, and we will leave some room for dancing. Because he always moves the crowd, he’s really engaging, and he’s got some mad fiddle skills. That’s on May 22nd; the show starts at 7:30pm.”

Blair has performed at Dauphin’s Country Fest and the Calgary Stampede. Tickets are available at the Uptown Emporium and on flinflonartscouncil.ca .

The arts council also has summer jobs available for those between the ages 15-29.  Positions include working in the arts council office in the community hall, in the uptown emporium, and at the community garden at Rotary Park. There is also a position for a podcaster that is sponsored by the Manitoba Métis Federation for a high school or post secondary student.
