The evening featured an address by Mayor George Fontaine and a donation from the Branch #73 Royal Canadian Legion for $1000 to the cadet program.
Captain Justin Cowan talked about how the evening went and plans for the future. “It’s mainly just to show what the cadets have accomplished this year. Training’s not done though; this is just our last formal event. But we are going to start leading into our adventure training, do more of our outside stuff. We want the community to know that we still have a strong Army Cadet Corps in this town, and, if you know of anyone that’s younger let’s say 12 to 18 years old. But, there’s a lot of people in this town that don’t realize that we’re here, so, I want to get the name out that we have a strong Army Cadet Corps here in town, 2328 Flin Flon. And the group we have here is amazing.”
