On February 23^rd the RCMP began an investigation after receiving information that an adult male had sent inappropriate texts to a 13 year old girl.

As a result of the investigation a 31 year old man was arrested on February 27^th and has been charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, luring a minor and invitation to sexual touching.  He was remanded into custody and will appear in court March 10^th in The Pas.

The RCMP say the name of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
