Congratulations to Flin Flon pharmacist Corey Thompson on  being selected the winner for the Ozturk Financial Patient Choice Award.

 

This is presented to a pharmacist who has been nominated by a patient for their outstanding commitment to delivering quality patient care and customer service and for their lasting impact on patient outcomes or community health and wellness.

 

Corey Thompson is a graduate of the 1999 Pharmacy Class of the University of Saskatchewan.   Upon graduation, he took a job as a staff pharmacist at Pharmasave in Flin Flon.  After two years of being in that role, Corey became a partner of the two Pharmasave stores in that community.  The stores have since been acquired but Corey remains the store operator of the Main Street location in Flin Flon.

 

After establishing himself in the community,  Corey has been involved in many community projects and groups including Flin Flon Minor Hockey, the local  soccer club, serving on the Indigenous Ambassador Committee within Neighbourly Pharmacy building on relationships and healthcare outreach for First Nation Communities.  

 

Corey is married to his wife Susan and has three children Rene, Jenna and Braden. When not in the pharmacy Corey enjoys playing hockey, fishing, golfing and spending time at the lake.
