The Province of Manitoba and the Manitoba Wildfire Service will be joining the City of Flin Flon for a Community Wildfire Information Session. They will go over on this past years wildfire season and provide an the outlook for the 2026 season. Flin Flon Municipal Emergency Coordinator Mike Funk lets us know about some of the other presentations.
" We are going to be presenting some information about the Fire Smart program and how communities can get involved in that. What the program entails and how to be a fire smart community. They can also answer some questions regarding funding that is available for anybody that does get evacuated or is in an emergency situation."
There will be discussions about community resiliency regarding homes and businesses, emergency preparedness recommendations and a chance for questions. It’ll take place at the Flin Flon Community Hall this Monday at 7.
