Flin Flon and the surrounding areas are preparing to celebrate 100 years on being an established community in Northern Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

A number of activities and events are being planned to celebrate the mega milestone. Promotions Director Dianne Russell talks about the events that have been confirmed so far. 

“So, I’m going to say that right now the website is still coming up, so, go to Facebook if you wanna see some things. We’re working on the whole map of the agenda. The Bombers are having a Bombers 100 Celebration August long, but they’re also going to be a part of July long the Trout Festival Weekend, which has becoming Flin Flon ’27. It’ll include the Flin Flon ’27 Fish Fry. It’s gonna include a folkarama type thing. Before that weekend starts there will probably be some Bomber Town. We’re actually trying to get, we’re working on, a train type themed thing. So much is in the works.”

A few of the other events that have been confirmed include a Regatta and Fire Works, Parade and Canada Day events for both Creighton and Denare Beach.
