Flin Flon is getting ready to celebrate a major milestone to commemorate 100 years as a community in 2027.
A planning committee has been put together called Flin Flon 27 that will help plan various events and activities to help celebrate the major milestone.
Working with regional partners, there will be celebrations of our community histories throughout the year, including Bomber sporting events, exhibitions, home-grown historical musical, Bombertown, and a Hudbay event. The largest celebration will be the Flin Flon 27 Party, taking place during the Trout Festival from June 30th to July 4th. They plan on inviting guests from across Canada and around the world to come and celebrate our community.
The celebration is being organized by a large committee with representatives from the City of Flin Flon, Hudbay, Bombers, our neighbouring municipalities, as well as all major community stakeholders and groups.
