The Flin Flon Snow Lodge will wrap up its inaugural season this weekend with the first ever Final Frost Festival. It’s being held to celebrate the project that has garnered local, national, and international attention. Visitors from as far as Slovakia and Japan have traveled to come see the Snow Lodge up close. Director of culture and community initiatives for the City of Flin Flon, Crystal Kolt lets us know some of the happenings for the Final Frost Fest.
" We have musicians that are going to be performing on Saturday, every hour on the hour from noon til about 8:30pm. The Story Telling tent we have great story tellers all weekend including Ron Burwash tonight and Myrna Guimer, Dennis Strom, Dave Price, people that have been around for a very long time. There will be the Full Market with Rotarians cooking hot-dogs and hamburgers and there will be lots of vendors. We will also have skating and Aboriginal teachings in the Tipi, so make sure you come out and see our wonderful Snow Lodge before we turn off the lights."
