After a brief hiatus the Flin Flon Lions Club Handi Van is back in operation. The Handi Van is used for seniors and those with mobility issues in the community to be able to get to medical appointments, important errands, and trips to the airport. Lion’s Club Member Debbie Kazub explains how they were able to get back on the road so quickly.

“Well, there was an unfortunate accident and we had to replace the Handi Van. It was operable, but, the vehicle was written off by MPI. So, we were extremely lucky, we found a builder in Saskatoon who had been building one over the winter because typically it takes 3 to 4 months to replace a Handi Van. And we were only down for about a week and a half, and, the service is now up and running, it’s a beautiful brand new van, and I think the riders will be happy with it.”
