There is going to be a special fundraiser taking place this Sunday at the Whitney Forum.

The Flin Flon Bombers will square off against members of the Flin Flon, Creighton and Denare Beach Fire departments in a charity hockey game with the proceeds going towards the new Bomber Bus.

This is an event that has taken place the past few years but has been revamped this year as we hear more from Damian Dominey of the  Flin Flon Fire Department. " A few years ago we were doing the Outdor Classic we were calling it, with the weather we get in the North it was tough to pick a date. It was tough to find something that worked with the Bombers schedule and getting the weather to cooperate and ice conditions. So we just thought we would simplify things and have the game at the good old Whitney Forum. We just wanted to find a way to give back to the community."

The game takes place this Sunday between 6 and 8pm and will be run just like a regular game with 50/50, door prizes and there will also be commemorative t-shirts for sale.

Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for students and seniors.
