The Flin Flon RCMP have issued their monthly police report for February.
The RCMP received 28 calls for service for crimes against people including 4 robberies, 4 calls for uttering threats, 12 assaults, 5 assaults causing bodily harm, 1 aggravated assault and 2 assaults on police Officers.
There were 34 calls for service for crimes against property and 26 calls for miscellaneous reasons. The RCMP received a total of 165 calls between February the 6th and 20th.
The RCMP is also getting involved with the community with their Project 11 with the Flin Flon School Division. Project 11 with the True North Youth Foundation is a school-based mental wellness education program designed to help students build mental health awareness and positive coping skills.
Constables are also conducting regular foot patrols throughout the Uptown area as part of a proactive policing strategy. These patrols are designed to enhance public safety by increasing officer visibility, building positive relationships with community members/businesses, and deter criminal activity.
