Theatre and grants were part of Flin Flon school board meeting last night

It was a light agenda at the School Board of Trustees meeting.  Superintendent Blaine Veitch reported that students K to 6 at McIsaac and Ruth Betts Schools will welcome the Prairie Theatre Exchange for the production 50 Below Zero, a story by author Robert Munch on Friday.  Over at Many Faces Center there is a student art project planned for painting the gym.  Treasurer Heather Fleming reported that the Ruth Betts nutrition program has received a grant of 19 hundred dollars from Breakfast for Learning which is sponsored in part by President’s Choice Children’s Charity.

Board Chair Murray Skeavington says the recent Dinner Theatre at Hapnot Collegiate was a success as well as the combined science fair for Ruth Betts and Ecole McIssac students calling them just another example of the talents here in the School Division.
