The Northern Health Region will be holding a Healthy Together Now Conference in The Pas on Wednesday March the 11th at the Kikiwak Inn between 9:30 am and 3:30pm.
Christa McIntire talks about the main objective of the Conference. " We are really excited about this event and it is open to any people and communties in the Northern Health Region. We are hosting this event because we really want to promote the Healthy Together Now Grant. It is a grant that is available to communities to do health promotions, programs and events in their communities. We want to have an opportunity to tell them about this grant, we want to show them some success stories. We also hope that they will consider applying for a grant after they leave the conference."
The keynote speaker is going to be Daniel Hidalgo who will be discussing building community through lived experiences. Daniel will describe his journey from a high risk youth to passionate community leader of a non profit organization and talk about the principles that helped guide him.
