Tomorrow over 30 men from the Manitoba Knights of Columbus will gather at Sleep In Heavenly Peace in Winnipeg to begin the assembly of 22 beds to be delivered to Pukatawagan over a two day span.
The ten men will travel to the Pas for one night then will make their way on challenging winter roads to arrive in Pukatawagan for this Thursday February the 26th.
Once they arrive they will meet with the Chief and Elders of the Mathias Colomb Cree Nation and other local partners to distribute the goods.
As many will recall, the community experienced a very difficult 2025 where over 2,000 residents were forced from their homes due to the wildfire evacuations.
The delivery will also include coats and wheelchairs and they are encouraging anyone else who would like to make the journey with them to hop on board and come along for the experience.
