The City Of Flin Flon would like to remind you to use caution and show courtesy when snowplows and sand trucks are operating on city streets.

If you are meeting a sand truck at an intersection, please give it the right of way, as these trucks cannot come to a complete stop when they are working: they need to maintain forward movement for certain systems to function properly.

If you are meeting a sand truck on the road head-on, please give them ample space, or pull over briefly to allow them to pass. Snowplows and sand trucks carry heavy loads as they are actively clearing snow and ice, which makes sudden stops or quick maneuvers difficult and dangerous.

Giving crews the space they need helps ensure roads are cleared safely and efficiently.
