We are just one day away from kicking off the 47th annual Denare Beach Winter Festival which will start tomorrow at the Denareplex at 4:30pm with the Musher’s Supper.
Denare Beach Rec Director Mel Durette fills us in on the rest of the activities this weekend.
“It’s really good, we decided to continue to do it, even though of everything that happened. We just want to bring everybody back together. It’ll start off on Friday, there will be the Penny Parade, Kids Events, Turkey Curling, and Trap Setting. Saturday, we’re gonna have the Pancake Breakfast, the Bingo, they actually have...we’ll have the Dog Sled Races.”
There will also be Horse Drawn Sleigh Rides for the first time in over 8 years and a Family Fishing Derby. The Dog Sled Races will take place Saturday and Sunday at the Beaver Lake Grounds starting at 11am.
