Fantastic live music will be happening in Flin Flon and Cranberry this weekend with the return of the Home Routes series.
Canadian Fiddle Champions Jane and Kyle will be performing this weekend and Barb Bragg out of Cranberry talks about the history of the Home Routes Series. " It is a program that is coordinated out of Winnipeg but it invites performers from all over the place. It invites them to come and tour around the rural communities around the western provinces. Our folks usually do about 16 performances on their tour so they are on the road for well over two weeks. They stay in people's homes and they are fed by people in the communities. It is really an opportunity for the artists to get to know the community but also the community gets to host some pretty spectacular acts."
The first show is in Cranberry this Friday at the Legion starting at 7:30, with doors opening at 7pm. Saturday’s performance will happen at the Spencers’s home at 19 Hemlock in Flin Flon also at 7:30pm.
