The Flin Flon Trout Festival Association  held a meeting this past Tuesday at the Creighton Recreation and Tourism office.

President Dianne Russell chaired the meeting and they discussed having a booth at this year’s CFAR Trade and Leisure Show and the festival highs and lows from last year with so much rescheduling.

A motion was passed to not reinstate the bursary program at this time. They have also confirmed a number of events for this year’s festival including the Fishing Derby, Fish Fry, Midway / Canuck Amusements, Community Barbecue, Canada Day events and Beaver Lake Day, just to name a few.

They wrapped up the meeting with discussion on ordering swag and a new stage, and have approved  the 2026 budget.
