Since Covid, the Winterfest festival in Cranberry has really been revitalized and is returning on February 26th to March the 1st.
Barb Bragg mentions that there is going to be no shortage of events for you to enjoy again this year. " There is Bingo, some curling, there is a Cribbage tournament and contests. We also have a lot of historical skill competitions going on for the youth like Sweed Saw, cutting, tea boiling, fire making, Bannock baking, those sort of things. Most of these events take place around the Arena, but we also have a Makers Market which will be taking place on Saturday February the 28th. We expect to be in the Elementary School this year."
There will also be a Family Fishing Derby which will take place the weekend before on Saturday February the 21st at Caribou Lodge. All the information on all the events can be seen on the Cranberry Portage Winterfest facebook page, and their new website is almost up and running and should be completed by the end of the week.
