Read To Me Is Into It's Second Session

The second session of Read To Me is underway for children 2 to 5 years of  age as well as  their parents in Flin Flon and area.

Laurence Gillespie explains what the program is all about. " Well it is designed to encourage the love of reading on the part of small pre schoolers that will hopefully last them for the rest of their life. All the studies have shown that if children can be introduced to books early enough, they can become life  long readers which has all kinds of implications for their academic performance. It will also help their performance in a lot of different varietys in their life."

It takes place three days a week including Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at the Ruth Betts Family Room starting at 9 am and Thursday morning at  9:30 am in the basement of the Library.

It is free and the sessions include reading, a craft, a snack, and free play time. You can sign up by calling/texting Laurence at 204-271-2890.
