2026 looks like it will be a very busy year for the Flin Flon Rec department with the opening of the new Aqua Centre, opening of the new Snow Lodge and Bust The Winter Blues happening In February.
Rec Director Cait Bailey also mentioned a few other big projects that will be taking place. Our Camp Whitney project,we are excited that Stack City is working on that project with us. They are really excited about the project as they all participated and spent time out at Camp Whitney, and look forward to taking their own families out there. They have an ice road built up on Athapap this winter which is usually the end of February,the beginning of March when the ice road season opens up. So that will be so the contractors can move all of the products for the build across the lake and they will all be on sight so that they can do construction over the Spring and Summer."
Bust The Winter Blues will be taking place with lots of activities planned all over Flin Flon and Creighton the weekend of February the 27th to March the 1st and a complete list of all the events is posted on both the Flin Flon Rec and Creighton Recreation facebook pages.
