Prince Albert RCMP with the assistance of Saskatchewan RCMP’s Critical Incident Response Team – arrested and charged a male and a female following a shooting that occurred in the community of Little Red River.
On January 18th , Prince Albert RCMP received a report of a shooting in Little Red River.
Officers immediately responded. Investigation determined a male was outside in Little Red River when a black SUV approached him. One of the occupants inside the SUV was armed with a firearm and discharged it, injuring the male. The black SUV drove away. The injured male was taken to hospital by EMS with injuries described as non-life-threatening in nature.
Prince Albert RCMP searched the area and located a vehicle matching the SUV’s description outside a residence in Little Red River. Officers set up containment at the residence and engaged Saskatchewan RCMP’s Critical Incident Response Team to assist. A male and a female later exited the residence and were arrested by police.
As a result of continued investigation, 34-year-old Jared Naytowhow from Little Red River is charged with multiple offenses including discharging a firearm with intent and aggravated assault.
33-year-old Jackie Morin from Little Red River is charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm when knowing possession unauthorized.
Jared Naytowhow and Jackie Morin appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on January 20th.
