We are a few weeks into 2026 and Soup Days are back in Flin Flon at the Anglican Church where any needy people in the community can drop by to warm up and get a free lunch.
The Salvation Army is heading the program and Nelly Brown talks about all the people in the community who are in need. " Well to start off the Salvation Army mandate is hand to man and heart to God, and with that we have been running a soup program since October of 2025. Between October 17th and December the 22nd last year we served 718 people, so there is a need for this service in town. We would really like to thank our sponsors including the United Steelworkers who pay for half our groceries. We also want to thank ST Peters Anglican Church who only charge us half price to rent their hall."
Soup Days take place every Monday and Friday at the Flin Flon Anglican Church between 11:30 and 1pm. If you would like to volunteer or make a financial donation you can reach out to Nelly at 204-687-4283.
