Operation Red Nose Has Wrapped Up Another Holiday Season In Flin Flon And Area

Another Operation Red Nose is in the books after getting people and their vehicles home safe and sound in Flin Flon and area this Holiday season.

The Flin Flon Rotary Club’s Colleen Tower tells us things went smoothly New Years Eve and wants to thank all the volunteers for stepping up through out the month of December. " So this New Years Eve, we had 14 volunteers step up and it was amazing as we did 19 rides. Everything went smoothly with not a lot of wait times and it was a pretty good night for us. This is a great opportunity on behalf of Rotary and Operation Red Nose, we want to thank all the different service clubs, businesses and this year in particular a lot of individuals."

Operation Red Nose ran for 8 different nights over the Holidays  and so far a total of just over three thousand dollars has come in with donations. There are still more donations that are coming  in and an official total will be released later this month.

All the money go’s towards youth sports in our community and if you are interested in getting some support for a youth event or club, let Colleen know and she will get the info out to you on how to apply for some funds at 204-680-8164.
